We celebrated Easter a week early with my family and this year my mom asked me to make some cake for the festivities. Now if you know my family, you will know that they are not cake people. (Not my husband and kids, but the family I grew up in, and funny enough, all the spouses of my brothers and sister, except mine of course!) They would rather eat pie, cheesecake, baklava, buckeyes, ice cream, dirt pudding, cookies, etc. over cake.

I made vanilla buttercream for the bigger bunny, and chocolate buttercream for the littler bunny. The ears are just cut out from paper and of course the eyes and nose are jelly beans. The chick cupcakes were lemon cake with lemon buttercream frosting. Delicious!

I was very happy with how cute they were, and the eleven grandkids all thought they were adorable. That didn't stop them from devouring them, though!
Hope you have a great Easter!

YOu make it sound easy, but I'm sure if I tried to make one, it would turn out to look like a giant mouse! lol
I think I could handle the chick cupcakes. Thanks for the idea!
Hoppy Easter to you too!
Yummy AND cute!!! I love you Heather, but I am sooooo glad we are not neighbors. I'd be grossly obese. lol
